Julia Brand, born in 1990, completed her training as a hotel manager at the Hotel Stadt Hamburg on Sylt. After various positions on the MS Europa, in the Kempinski Hotel 4 Seasons in Munich, in the Restaurant Atelier *** in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich and in the Restaurant Tantris ** in Munich, she returned to her homeland to work with her husband Moritz-Christian Brand and her parents to run and develop the Hotel Stadt Kassel.

Moritz-Christian Brand, also born in 1990, trained as a sommelier at the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bayrisch Haus in Potsdam. After his training, he gained over 10 years of experience in star gastronomy, including in the Lerbach gourmet restaurant at the Schlosshotel Lerbach (Dieter Müller restaurant), in the Nils Henkel *** restaurant in Bergisch Gladbach, on the MS Europa, in the Tantris ** restaurant in Munich and in the Restaurant Atelier *** in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich.
Working at the Hotel Stadt Kassel for more than 8 years now, Moritz was voted one of the top 50 sommeliers in Germany and the wine list has received several national and international awards and distinctions.

Kerstin Brand ran the Hotel Stadt Kassel with her husband Lutz for many years. She is the good soul of the house and is a little proud that the “Brandsche” family tradition and “her city of Kassel” are being carried on so skillfully and lovingly by her daughter Julia and son-in-law Moritz-Christian.

Lutz Krüger-Brand and his wife Kerstin not only married the love of his life many years ago, but also put his heart and soul into the city of Kassel. Whenever he is able, he personally greets our hotel guests directly at the reception, helps with questions and needs and keeps everything together when it comes to the perfect condition of the rooms and buildings. He is a specialist in sporting or cultural leisure activities around Rinteln and is very familiar with the Weser cycle path. He is happy to help our guests plan their cycling and hiking tours or give tips on which sights in the Schaumburg region are definitely worth a visit.
